Since 1985, Gail has defended her clients’ rights in state and federal courts in Texas and around the country, and in domestic and international arbitrations. Representing publicly-held companies, private companies, and individuals, Gail has provided legal advice and representation through all stages of the litigation process. She has counseled clients on how to avoid litigation, engaged in extensive discovery and settlement negotiations, and has participated in trials, arbitrations, and appeals. Working both as in-house counsel and as retained counsel has provided Gail with the unique ability to weigh the costs and benefits of litigation so her clients are prepared for the process and can use their resources efficiently.
Gail’s practice has most recently focused on complex commercial matters, construction disputes, oil and gas and real estate disputes, insurance coverage and ERISA matters, petrochemical litigation, and a variety of complex commercial and contract cases including business fraud, business tort, and Deceptive Trade Practice Act cases. She also worked extensively defending a Commodities Exchange Act criminal prosecution involving claims of trader manipulation and has been involved in numerous product liability claims and MDL proceedings.
